Local businesses and apprentices received 44 awards at the Business Training Awards, held at Trafford College's centre for Science and Technology last month.
Close Brothers is running its SME Apprentice programme, whereby the bank will fund half of the apprentice’s wages for the first year and a quarter in the second year for 20 companies.
The finalists will now continue their fundraising and awareness raising activities through to early July, when they will then take part in the logistical and teambuilding finale.
