Apprentice Levy explained at Bristol event

Business leaders in the Bristol/Gloucestershire region still confused or unsure about what the Apprentice Levy will mean for them will get the chance to find out more soon.

SGS College in Bristol will be hosting a briefing for local businesses on how the Levy will work, what it will cost and how it will be administered. The event will be held on June 1 and is free.

For those that do attend, there will be the chance to hear from senior figures from both the Skills Funding Agency (SFA)  and BIS. They will be on hand to give a clear idea of what the Levy will mean for local employers, and will also be the first opportunity for employers to see and try the Digital Apprenticeship Service.

Sara-Jane Watkins, principal of SGS College, which is also a key sponsor of the Citizen, Echo, Stroud Life and Southwestbusiness.co.uk Apprentice 1,000 campaign, said: “We are thrilled to be able to host this event on behalf of the Skills Funding Agency and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
