Apprenticeships add value to your business

The NAS will be on hand at the event

The NAS will be on hand at the event has teamed up with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) to deliver a breakfast seminar on March 14th to provide local employers with apprenticeship information, give examples of business benefits and outline steps employers should take to hire apprentices.

One of the panellists will be North West entrepreneur Jennie Johnson, who founded the nursery chain Kids Allowed. Despite over 200,000 businesses employing apprentices across the UK, there are still many firms in the North West who have yet to take advantage of apprenticeship programmes.

CEO of the National Apprenticeship Service, David Way, said: “For employers, hiring apprentices is a way of attracting new talent and developing a motivated, skilled and diverse workforce. This seminar will give you the opportunity to hear from an employer and apprentice who have already experienced the benefits Apprenticeships can bring. The National Apprenticeship Service will also be on hand to give information on funding available, including our AGE 16 to 24 grant which offers £1,500 to eligible employers.”
