From 3rd-4th March the 3rd Annual Voice of Apprenticeships Conference will take place in London.
While the recent falls in unemployment are welcome, provision for apprenticeship training has to meet employers’ recruitment and skills needs in a fast recovering economy. Discussions will therefore focus on improving public and employer engagement with apprenticeships at a time when apprenticeship participation is falling amongst 16-19 year olds. In particular, it will look at how more employers, particularly SMEs, can be encouraged to deliver apprenticeships.
LEPs and Local Authorities are playing an increasingly important role in the delivery of vocational training and it will look at how training providers can best respond to the changes and challenges associated with developing new relationships with their local LEPs
