The Cabinet Office has revealed a new Civil Service Fast Track Apprenticeship Scheme which opened for applications on the 15th April. The scheme is part of the Civil Service Reform Plan which aims to improve government by bringing in fresh new talent.
Apprentices will study for a minimum of two years, working towards a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Business and Professional Administration. They will be taught about project leadership and management to develop them into skilled civil servants prepared for full time employment.
100 positions have been created in London, Yorkshire, the North West and West Midlands, with the aim of reaching a total of 500. Click here to find out more about the apprenticeship on offer.
Minister for the Cabinet Office Francis Maude said: “The Civil Service is a vibrant, exciting place to work where 9 out of 10 are interested in their job. Those who don’t go into higher education have a huge amount to offer, and the Civil Service Fast Track Apprenticeship Scheme will help ensure that we continue to attract the brightest and the best people to work for us.”
