A ‘one stop shop’ for apprenticeships in the city

West Notts College has opened a ‘one stop shop’ for apprentices in Nottingham city centre, it has been reported. Run by subsidiary companies Vision Workforce Skills and Vision Apprentices, the centre will be the advertise apprenticeship vacancies, helping young people into employment. Businesses will also gain access to training, assessment and support.

The centre will recruit across the sectors but will focus mainly on IT and creative and digital media which are two of Nottingham’s growth sectors.

The centre is open 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday on a drop-in basis, or by calling 0115 958 5285.

Principal and chief executive Asha Khemka OBE said: “Having a physical presence in Nottingham enables us to extend our offer to city-based employers through bespoke training and the recruitment of apprentices. As a leading provider of apprenticeships and employer-related training nationally, we have much to offer businesses and young people in the city and we’re now strategically well-placed to support its plans for jobs, growth and regeneration.”
