In 2014, Shajida from east London joined the Movement to Work programme, which brings together UK employers to help young people into work and training.
Now, aged 19, she is on a path to career success with a technology apprenticeship at professional services company Accenture.
Shajida says: “I did have a period of time where I felt the pressure, being a girl and wanting to go into a field that was really male dominated.
“But it’s changed my life. I went from college to working in the city, and everyone just seems astonished that a 19-year-old is doing what I’m doing.
“My parents are really, really proud of me. I’m really happy.”
