Swan Housing Association (SHA) in east London has launched a new apprenticeship scheme for 20 people living in Tower Hamlets, to mark its 20th anniversary.
People of any age can apply for the positions, which will lead to careers in construction, administration, horticulture, caretaking or health and social care.
20-year-old Hannah Potter, who works as an income administration officer, began at the company as an apprentice. She said: “Swan has been very supportive and during my apprenticeship I greatly improved my skills and confidence while receiving excellent opportunities to learn.”
John Synnuck, chief executive of SHA, said: “Whether they have just left school or are looking to get back into employment, we will support our apprentices to help them get what they want from this experience.”
