A new higher apprenticeship in Business Innovation and Growth Level 5 has been launched at Westminster Kingsway College by Dragon’s Den Entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE and Skills Minister Matthew Hancock MP as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2014.
Westminster Kingsway College is the central London Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and will take on board the first lot of Level 5 Higher Apprentices who will be working for a range of businesses, from large corporates to SMEs, including Grant Thornton UK LLP, Jessops and Waltham Estates.
Peter Jones CBE, founder of the Peter Jones Foundation said: “There is a real need for people to learn how to run a business and we are incredibly proud to launch this Higher Apprenticeship with Westminster Kingsway College. It is great to work with a college that gets it. We have to lead the way to recovery in the economy and these Apprenticeships and courses will help us to achieve this.”
Matthew Hancock MP, Minister for Skills and Enterprise said: “It is great to launch this Higher Apprenticeship with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Westminster Kingsway College. Westminster Kingsway College is at the leading edge of delivering these programmes.”
