Skills Minister Matthew Hancock has shown his support for Professions Week which runs from 21st to 27th October 2013. It aims to boost awareness among 14 to 19 year olds in the professions and the opportunities available to them after finishing school.
Teachers and careers advisors will be given the relevant materials to help young people make informed decisions with regards to the professions.
Skills Minister Matthew Hancock said: “The best way for young people to find out about the exciting career options that are out there is by talking to people in real life jobs. Professions Week is a great opportunity for young people to get a glimpse into the world of work and find out what skills and experience they will need to achieve their dream job.”
