It’s not just what you say at an interview that counts; your body language also plays a key role. Check out these top tips to bear in mind to make the best impression:

1. Be polite and friendly to everyone you meet, from receptionist to interviewer

2. Stop nervous twitching by preparing well

3. Shake hands firmly and maintain eye contact

4. Maintain eye contact throughout interview and minimise tense facial expressions

5. Sit comfortably, don’t slouch or fidget

6. Mirror body language of interviewer

7. Nod when asked questions – but don’t overdo it

8. Don’t talk over the interviewer

9. Respond to questions with enthusiasm
