Slough Borough Council has partnered with arvato to offer young people aged 16-18 the chance to work towards an NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration.
Specific roles will be in youth services, adult social care, HR and customer services. Apprentices will work in a department for six months before being transferred to another unit, giving them a varied learning experience.
Learning co-ordinator at the council, Sara McCaugherty, said: “In only the first two years of working together, the council and arvato have formed a strong partnership that is creating numerous benefits for local citizens. The apprenticeships allow candidates to gain valuable business experience and a recognised qualification.”
