On Tuesday 11th June, training provider Swansea ITeC and e-skills UK have teamed up to deliver an event to highlight the benefits of hiring apprentices. Local firms will find out more about the new e-skills Apprenticeships for Wales scheme which aims to simplify the process of hiring apprentices. They will also learn how to use Careers Wales’ Apprenticeships Matching Service and find out about funding opportunities.
Mel Welch, Project Manager at e-skills UK, says: “Apprenticeships help develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. Many more organisations are starting to realise this and more than 100,000 across the UK now offer them. Our aim is to significantly increase the number in Wales.”
