In an open letter to the apprenticeship sector Peter Lauener, director of the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) has announced fresh cuts to all non-apprenticeship Adult Skills Budgets (ASB).
Employers, apprentices, business support organisations, learning providers, colleges and schools across the UK are encouraged to support the week by hosting activities to showcase the achievements and benefits of apprenticeships.
According to new figures from the Skills Funding Agency, demand for ICT apprenticeships is heavily outstripping supply, with ten candidates now scrapping over each vacancy.

Next year’s National Apprenticeship Week will run from Monday 9th March to Friday 13th March 2015, it has been announced.
