Information technology company IBM has won the best apprenticeship programme award at the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards. Students voted for the awards, which acknowledge the best organisations for graduates to work for. The company beat 19 others to the prize, including Rolls-Royce and Aviva.
IBM works alongside Highbury College, which funds and reviews the apprenticeship scheme for 90 apprentices in Portsmouth.
Executive director of corporate college at Highbury, Dee John, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for both IBM and its apprentices. As apprenticeship scheme partners we want to congratulate IBM on winning this award and look forward to continuing to work closely with them on this excellent programme.”
