Research has shown that employers and educators perceive the skills gap very differently.
According to a recent report by the British Chamber of Commerce 88% of UK businesses believe that school leavers are totally unprepared for the world of work. Meanwhile, 61% of education providers believe that learners are adequately prepared for entry level positions.
In their whitepaper, “Walking in the Footsteps of Others”, AQA outlines how they are facilitating partnerships between employers and educators to close the skills gap and create a pipeline of job-ready learners equipped with the skills necessary for success with local employers and businesses.
