Manchester Law School, part of Manchester Metropolitan University, has joined forces with CILEx to provide new Legal Services Apprenticeships to big firms including Pannone, Weightmans and Hill Dickinson.
Seven additional apprentices have been hired by international law firm Kennedys to build on the success of the ten apprentices who were employed in 2012.
Therese Tyson, HR Manager at DAC Beachcroft said: "This is a pilot programme for DAC Beachcroft and we are confident that apprenticeships will prove to be a successful and popular way of training paralegals and bringing new talent into the firm."
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) has joined forces with Manchester Metropolitan University Law School to offer school leavers an apprenticeship in legal services.
