Apprentice Levy consultation ends on Monday

Consultation on the Apprentice Levy ends on Monday, with businesses, training providers and employers all being encouraged to take part in the conversation over how the Levy should be implemented.

The government in August published its proposals for apprenticeship funding, with provisions included on the split between government and businesses and who takes responsibility for recruiting and assessing skills training.

“We are inviting feedback on these proposals and will use the summer to test them further, including how they support the government’s emerging industrial strategy and ensure that individuals from all backgrounds and parts of the country have the opportunity to get on in life,” the Department of Education says, and provides a link  to the survey.

There have been a whole host of opinion shared on the Levy: some positive; some negative; and some practical.
