Home and garden retail giant The Range is to offer apprenticeships to more than 200 new recruits and 2,000 of its existing staff.

Partnering with national training provider Free2Learn and apprenticeship recruitment specialist Vision Apprentices, the company plans to provide the opportunities across its 100-plus UK stores throughout the year.

Lots in store

This will entail offering an apprenticeship to 20 existing staff and taking on at least two new apprentices in every store.

Andrew Hibbitt, sales and customer service director at Free2Learn said: “It is a real pleasure to be part of this project, not only because we’re working with another great client but also because, yet again, we can impact people’s lives by preparing them to start a career or progress in their existing one.

“Working with Vision Apprentices enables us to provide a one-stop shop to The Range and meet their national demands in a very professional, efficient and pleasant manner.”

A top service

Stevie Wray-Marriott, manager at Vision Apprentices, added: “Through the partnership with The Range and Free2Learn, we are able to support young people to kick-start their career by gaining key skills and qualifications whilst working with one of Britain’s largest employers.

“The Range is heavily investing in the culture of apprenticeships and have provided opportunities nationally for retail customer service apprentices to join and be a part of their team.”
