Town planners on the path to apprenticeship success

The first cohort of budding town planners are embarking on a new apprenticeship programme.

Jamie Alley, Nicholas Whittington, Greg Anderson, Andrew Pommells and Alex Carruthers are setting out on the planning course at Chichester College, one of the first to join the scheme.

The apprenticeships have been developed by the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Construction Industry Council.

For the two-year duration of the course, the apprentices will study at the college while gaining work experience at different councils across the south.
