A misconception harboured by some school leavers is that an apprenticeship may set them off on a specific career route sooner than they’d like, limiting their career choices further down the line.
An unexpected direction
This certainly hasn’t been the case for Leigh-Ann Elliott, whose administration apprenticeship led to a sales role, which in turn led to a position in recruitment. A process she has thoroughly enjoyed.
Asked to sum up her apprenticeship experience in three words, Leigh-Ann’s response is “challenging, exciting and worth it”.
