BPP set to launch business degree apprenticeships

BPP University and BPP Professional Apprenticeships have announced a new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, a programme that has been developed by the government’s ‘trailblazer’ group.

The new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship will be available from BPP University and BPP Professional Education from September 2015 (pending government approval).

The programme is an opportunity for companies to recruit school and college leavers into a full-time role and allow them to gain a business degree, awarded by the university.

James Hammill, director of BPP Professional Apprenticeships, commented: ‘‘We have been in involved with Trailblazers and Degree Apprenticeships from the very start and we’re pleased to be one of the first education providers to implement a programme.”

We have already had a huge amount of interest from some very well-known companies looking to give employees this great opportunity – a full time job, experience and a degree without any tuition fees’’

Professor Tim Stewart, Dean of BPP University Business School, added: ‘‘Having helped to develop the new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, I believe it represents a game changer for students, employers and universities in management education.’’

‘‘I believe this programme will be one of the most effective ways young people can gain the practical knowledge, skills, experience and confidence to succeed as future managers.’’
