Oxford to gain nine young apprenticeship ambassadors

In a bid to promote apprenticeships across Oxfordshire, nine young people will become apprenticeship ambassadors to spread the word to others across the county.

This is the latest initiative by Oxfordshire Apprenticeships, a partnership project funded through the Oxfordshire City Deal that works with employers, training providers, schools, colleges and apprentices.

The ambassadors will have recently completed their apprenticeships or will still be working at local firms.

Apprentice Emily Joyce, administrative assistant at Oxford University and soon to be ambassador, said: “I believe having apprenticeship ambassadors will bring awareness, knowledge and experience and be an inspiration to the candidates of the future. I feel very honoured to be taking part in the scheme and hope that I can encourage and help future apprentices by informing them of my experiences and achievements as an apprentice.”
