theEword continues to grow its digital business with talented apprentices

Manchester-based digital marketing agency,  theEword, is expanding its successful apprenticeship programme by hiring three more digital and social media apprentices.

Jessica Wright (18) will train as a Junior Account Executive; Mike Evans (18) will work within the PPC (Pay-per-Click) Advertising division and Alex Hart (18) will specialise in Organic Search.

The new recruits are the 3rd ‘generation’ of young people to benefit from the combination of  a 12-month Digital and Social Media Apprenticeship programme provided by The Apprentice Academy.

Dan Nolan, managing director of theEword, said: “I’ve become an enthusiastic advocate of Apprenticeships as a platform on which we can develop the multi-skilled and flexible workforce we will need to achieve our business objectives. The Apprentice Academy’s Digital and Social Media Apprenticeship programme is a smart, cost-effective way of identifying, recruiting, training and, importantly, nurturing a skilled, loyal team who work well together and share the same values. Our experience of the Digital and Social Media Apprenticeship process, and of working in partnership with The Apprentice Academy, made the decision to recruit a further three apprentices very easy.”

Alison Bagnall, managing director of The Apprentice Academy, said: “The creative and digital sector is a fast growing sector in Manchester and we are already seeing the skills gaps appearing. Businesses like theEword can’t afford to impede their potential to grow by fishing in a small and increasingly expensive talent pool.   They know the best and most cost-effective approach to building a talented team is to grow their own in-house skills via an Apprenticeship programme.”
