Next stop for Doncaster school leavers

An event by Business Doncaster in conjunction with Doncaster Association of Training Managers to help young people, parents and carers find out more about apprenticeship will be held at Trades Club, on the upper mall of Frenchgate on Friday, August 15 and 22.

This event follows the success of the Apprenticeship Fair held recently as part of National Apprenticeship Week. It will also be a chance to find out about current job vacancies, apprenticeships, traineeships and work based learning.

There will be a number of exhibitor stands, such as training providers, further education colleges and career information stands, as well as existing apprentices all geared towards helping visitors discover more about the different career paths available and how to access them.

Mayor of Doncaster, Ros Jones, said: “Boosting the economy and jobs is one of the council’s top priorities. Well over 200 people attended the last Apprenticeship Fair with many going on to secure work or begin training. These events play a big part in helping people choose the right career path and find new opportunities. They are a great opportunity for local people and I strongly recommend anyone to drop in.”
