Has government got it wrong with apprenticeship reforms? AELP National Conference 2014

The AELP National Conference 2014 takes place from 2nd-3rd June, at the Novotel in Hammersmith, west London.

Skills minister, Matthew Hancock, and senior government officials will be at this year’s AELP National Conference to present the case for reforming the apprenticeship programme in the face of increasingly vocal concerns about the proposal’s impact on small businesses and young people.

Stewart Segal, chief executive of the Association of Employment and Learning Providers, said: “The AELP National Conference is potentially very important In terms of influencing policymakers over decisions that will best serve our employers and the future of young people in this country.  Providers are also being challenged to deliver more when budgets are under pressure.  The two days promise high quality debate on what is needed in the labour market to make the economic recovery sustainable over the next few years.”
