Accountancy apprentice lands modelling role

After taking up her role as accounting apprentice for AM Accounts Ltd in Burnley, 19-year-old Laura Banks has also been chosen by BPP to appear on promotional literature across the UK.

James Hammill, director of BPP professional apprenticeships, said: “Laura has joined the growing number of intelligent, ambitious young people who are ready to start their career straight from school. Her AAT Apprenticeship not only allows her to gain a recognised accounting qualification, but demonstrates she can put it into practice, growing and learning within AM Accounts.”

He went on to say: “Laura will then be able to progress to further qualifications and become a chartered accountant. A true example of how apprenticeships are now providing a route to these top professions and how employers can develop the talent within their business. We’re so pleased that Laura agreed to the photoshoot and to be part of our campaign to encourage others to follow the same route.”
