International law firm takes on seven more legal apprentices

Seven additional apprentices have been hired by international law firm Kennedys to build on the success of the ten apprentices who were employed in 2012.

Starting this week, the apprentices will be employed in offices across the UK after a short induction in London. They will be one of the firsts to embark upon the new CILEx Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services scheme, which has only become available this month, and is designed to train staff as competent paralegals. The apprenticeships will be delivered through CILEx Law School and Vision Apprentices.

HR Manager at Kennedys, Emma Phipps, said: “The partnership between Kennedys and CILEx Law School is further evidence of how progressive law firms are broadening their approach to legal recruitment, recognising that some of the best potential lawyers of the future can be recruited on leaving school.”
