Apprentices key to economic growth

Employers attending next week’s Cornwall Business Show are in with an opportunity to learn how apprentices are essential to the growth of the UK economy, Business Cornwall has announced.

The free seminar is a breakfast event organised by the Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency, and will see MP for Truro and Falmouth, Sarah Newton, as well as other employers of apprentices discuss the benefits of hiring apprentices.

Taking place on the second morning of the Cornwall Business Show on Thursday, October 3rd (8.30am – 9.30am), the event represents an opportunity for businesses to hear more about opportunities and developments which are enabling companies to access apprentices with greater ease.

Sarah Newton who has been supporting the agency since its inception commented: “High quality apprenticeships provide both businesses with the skills they need to grow, and employees with crucial work and training opportunities in their chosen career paths. The Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency’s all-round support and help accessing funding is particularly valuable to SMEs who sometimes face greater risks when growing their workforce.”
