Young job seekers to meet employers as part of Derbyshire Skills Festival

Following a partnership between Derbyshire County Council and the National Apprenticeship Service, young people will be able to meet apprenticeship providers and apply for vacancies as part of the Derbyshire Skills Festival.

The free event will be held on September 24th between 3.30pm and 8pm at the University of Derby, Buxton.

Councillor Andy Botham, Derbyshire County Council’s Deputy Cabinet Member for Jobs, Economy and Transport, said: “Apprenticeships are a great alternative to college, sixth form and university. They’re also great for Derbyshire’s economy and we encourage all Derbyshire businesses to consider taking on an apprentice.”
