Agilisys and The City of London Corporation partnership creates 100 new digital apprenticeships

The City of London Corporation‘s recent decision to award ICT and business services provider Agilisys a 5-year contract to deliver a managed cloud-based  IT service will create 100 new digital apprenticeship roles in the City.

Young people aged 16-18 year living in the nearby fringe and priority boroughs will be targeted for the roles. The initiative builds on Agilisys’ successful Arch Apprentice programme, which had its formal launch in Tower Hamlets, and the company’s experience developing and encouraging small business growth as managers of the Barking Enterprise Centre.

Roger Chadwick, Chairman of the Finance Committee, City of London Corporation, commented: “We were looking for a strategic partner, who understood our business and could tailor their service to meet our needs. Agilisys demonstrated this and also had a strong understanding of – and commitment to – corporate responsibility, and so will be responsive to the needs of our stakeholders and the people we serve across London. In Agilisys, we believe we have found a partner that will meet our unique needs as a commercial and employment hub for London.”
