Deadline looms for adult apprenticeship funding

West Cheshire College will be providing employers with funding for adult apprenticeships or workplace training for employees aged 19 and over until the end of July, it has been reported.

All business sizes will be considered for the funding, which could be for apprenticeships, NVQs, and other short courses such as Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and equality and diversity.

Commercial Services Manager at West Cheshire College, Pat Byrne, said: “Many employers want to put their workforce through training but may not have the funding to do so. Now is the ideal time for employers to take advantage of the funding that we have available. The deadline is fast approaching so companies need to act fast.

“Training is essential for all businesses as it can improve the way employees do their job, boost morale and streamline the way a business runs. Most funding for workplace training is only available to SMEs but this funding is available for all businesses so we are expecting a good response.”
