First HP ExpertOne apprenticeships to be delivered by QA

The first ever HP ExpertOne training programme, which creates qualified IT professionals through apprenticeships, is to be delivered by training provider QA Apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships will begin this summer in London, the Thames Valley and Leeds, with plans for further expansion across the UK.

The programme will benefit UK employers who are seeking recruits with HP expertise. The HP ExpertOne Technical Apprenticeship trains people in helpdesk support, junior network support, ICT technicians and systems administrators. The HP ExpertOne Sales Apprenticeship is more business focused, for technical professional sales roles such as pre-sales consultants, technical sales consultants and infrastructure sales executives.

Nick Wilson, VP and Managing Director HP UK&I said: “The future of HP and the technology industry requires a strong skills pipeline, with studies anticipating 129,000 new IT professional job opportunities every year until 2020. The HP ExpertOne Apprenticeship programme is one way that HP is addressing the deficit in expertise. Assisting young people, who face increasing competition for jobs, to develop careers in the IT industry is one way that we will build a stronger technology landscape for the future.”
