Leading law firm Michelmores is championing apprenticeships in its offices across the UK. The company offers an intermediate Business and Administration Apprenticeship for people to learn on the job to kick start their careers.

Since March 2011, ten apprentices have gained permanent roles within the company in business services, real estate, private client and business teams. Seven more apprentices are currently studying towards their qualifications with the view to full time employment.

HR director for Michelmores, Colette Stevens, said: “We are always looking at new ways to create opportunities for talented individuals who are considering a career in law. We have an excellent record of seeing our apprentices thrive and take on increasing responsibility within the firm.”

Megan Carthew, office assistant apprentice for Michelmores, said: “I chose Michelmores as the law firm to carry out my apprenticeship with because I know I will gain the expert knowledge required to develop my career. The apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for me because I am able to learn whilst I am working, which I find much more suited to the way that I learn the best.
