Multinational consumer goods company, Unilever, has announced that twenty young people in south east England will be employed as part of its new apprenticeship scheme.

The company will offer an Advanced Business Administration apprenticeship and Advanced and Higher IT apprenticeship. Applicants will start their apprenticeships later this year, and it will last between 18 months and two years. The change at gaining permanent role in the company will be available following completion of their training.

Unilever was recently recognised by the National Apprenticeship Service as a top 100 apprentice employer. Tim Munden, vice-president for HR at Unilever UK and Ireland, said: “Apprenticeships are a great way for a company to build their talent for the future, particularly in areas where we suffer from skills shortages.”
