Hiring an apprentice shouldn’t be an arduous process. It’s all fairly simple, and there is plenty of support available to guide you through the stages of apprentice recruitment. But first, here are three questions to ask yourself:

  1. What kind of apprenticeship am I after? There are many to choose from across different levels, ranging from GCSE to degree level.
  2. What are my funding opportunities? Eligible businesses can apply for up to ten grants of GBP1,500, on top of training costs funded wholly or partly by the government.
  3. Who else hires apprentices? See you else in your industry hires apprentices. Hear their experiences and take note of benefits they have noticed.
