Three Cornish apprentices are through to the semi-finals

Three young people from Cornwall have achieved places in the semi-finals of the WorldSkills UK’s accountancy competition and are preparing to travel to London on May 11th to compete. 21 year-old Joe Dowling, 19 year-old Elliot Webb and 18 year-old Emily Dunstan are all studying Level 3 Accountancy apprenticeships at Cornwall College Business.

If the Cornwall College team are successful they will go on to compete in the national finals at the Skills Show in Birmingham.

Elliot says: “I am really happy that we have progressed to the next round in London. I think that what we have achieved so far is a huge credit to the college and demonstrates the sort of hard work that the college puts into the AAT training to get the best results for the students.”
