Leading insurance company, AIG Europe Limited, has teamed up with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) to launch its new apprenticeship scheme. 25 apprentices will be hired in 2013 in the company’s Claims centres in Chesterfield and Croydon.

Vic Grimes, Divisional Apprenticeship Director of the NAS praises the new scheme for young people looking to get a foothold into the sector.

UK Managing Director for AIG, Nicolas Aubert, said, “There is a very real need within our industry to attract young people with flair and capacity for hard work to deliver excellent results. I believe Apprenticeships is a great way for us, as one of the world’s largest insurance companies, to invest in the future by offering exciting opportunities that young people will value. We are very pleased to be joining the programme.

“For AIG it means that we can recruit and train talent to help create a pipeline of enthusiastic, skilled individuals who we believe will enjoy a worthwhile career in the insurance industry and at AIG specifically.”
