Incisive Media has employed four digital apprentices into its publishing business, as part of a government-backed scheme to help young people gain the skills needed by the digital industry.

The employer-led digital marketing apprentice scheme is led by Arch, the specialist apprenticeships division of Agilisys Ltd, one of the UK’s fastest growing and most innovative business service providers, with support from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.

As part of the scheme, Agilisys Arch is working with around 20 companies to give young people job-specific skills and experience. Other companies showing their support include Google, ZipCar and McLaren.

John Barnes, Incisive Media’s digital and technology managing director, says: “The scheme is to help young people who don’t want to pursue a university qualification, acquire skills, experience and a qualification that will ultimately get them a job in an industry of their choice.”
