Has announced a second round of funding applications

UK companies will be able to apply for a second round of training funds under the Employer Ownership Pilot (EOP), The UK Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) has announced.

The EOP fund, launched in November 2011, allows employers to set up job specific training schemes. Businesses are urged to apply for a portion of the GBP240 million funding available for training and apprenticeship programmes.

Skills Minister Matthew Hancock reiterated the point that, to succeed, businesses need a highly skills workforce. Therefore, investing in training will allow employers to secure the future of their business. He urges
