Dragon’s Den star and patron of WorldSkills UK Theo Paphitis is calling for UK’s talent to enter the Worldskills UK National Competitions. The activity is intended to increase the levels of expertise in further education, skills and apprenticeships.

The competitions are managed by the National Apprenticeship Service. Competitors can increase their skills, meet industry peers and showcase the talent of their employees. Finalists will compete to be named the ‘best of the best in the UK’ in their specific skill before 100,000 onlookers at The Skills Show from 14-16 November 2013.  Applications are open until 22nd March and you can register here.

Theo Paphitis said:“By entering WorldSkills UK Competitions, together we can showcase and celebrate the high levels of talent entering the UK’s workforce. I hope this will show everyone how Apprenticeships and vocational training can lead to worthwhile and valuable careers.”
