300 apprenticeships created in the chemical industry

The chemical industry has been chosen to receive government funding, which has created three hundred apprenticeships in Teeside.

The training scheme, due to begin in Spring of this year, will last for three years and is designed to meet the exact needs of the industry, so as to minimise the skills gap and maintain a high level of skill among employees. Sembcorp Industries, a leading energy, water and marine group, became one of the thirty seven companies to offer this scheme.
