Ionbond UK praises apprenticeship scheme

ionbond uk shares apprenticeship success

Ionbond UK, a coatings firm in County Durham who employed two apprentices to finish essential Olympic work by the deadline have spoken out about the benefits it brought to their business.

The apprentices were taken on to assist with the design of the coating for more than eleven thousand Olympic torches. The company is now in its second year of its apprenticeship programme, and urges other businesses to consider hiring apprentices as part of their recruitment process. If they need any further incentive, a government grant of GBP2,500 is available for them to support the programme.

Engineering Support Manager Shaun Warren says: “The apprenticeship programme has been absolutely great. It was really straight forward to apply and I would definitely recommended it to other small businesses.”
