Bright Purple

Recruitment firm take home an award

Bright Purple Resourcing, a firm specialising in IT and Financial Service Recruitment, was honoured at the Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards 2012 hosted in Glasgow on the 21st November. The firm won the Small Business category for its unyielding support of the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

Their recent scheme, the Bright Futures Programme, gave six unemployed young people a chance to kick-start their career with an apprenticeship. The programme consisted of work experience, international projects, and an SVQ in Business Administration, with an overall aim to provide an insight into the world of business. Since the completion of the programme, two apprentices have gone on to become full time employees.

A spokesperson for Skills Development Scotland said of the award, “Bright Purple shows how companies of any size can help people take that all important first step on their career journey through Modern Apprenticeships. The Modern Apprenticeship programme is fast becoming the route of choice for many young people and we hope that other employers will follow Bright Purple’s example by creating opportunities for individuals to gain new skills and experience.”
