Into Enterprise Aims to Get Young People into Business

Young People

Willing to work

Camden council have recently introduced a new programme called Into Enterprise, which aims to combat youth unemployment by providing 16-24 year olds with apprenticeships and work experience, setting them in good stead for future employment.

The Princes Trust, London Youth Support Trust and Westminster Kingsway College have partnered up to build a reputable programme which consists of business mentoring, training and one-to-one support.

The programme is hoping to attract a wide range of businesses looking to expand their recruitment pool by hiring apprentices. The scheme intends to “develop a network of companies and individuals to inspire and promote a culture of enterprise around the young people of Camden.” Businesses local to Camden are encouraged to get involved, by offering apprenticeships, work placements or providing sponsorship.
